The Teton Range is one of the youngest mountain ranges in North America. The principal summits consist of several classic alpine peaks referred to as the Cathedral Group. Photographed during a sunset in the valley of Jackson Hole near the Snake River.
The scene reminded me of Ansel Adams "Moon Rise, Hernandez, NM" with snow-covered mountains in the background. The clouds allowed the setting sun to glow like a full moon. I added a cerulean tint to the black and white image. Cerulean is a shade of blue ranging between azure and a darker sky blue.
