VIEW OREGON SUNSETS
The Oregon coast sunsets are beautiful. The sunset reflected in the water against volcanic sea stacks adds drama.
VIEW OREGON COAST SEA STACKS
Isolated outcrops of rock standing in the ocean are called sea stacks, they are remnants of rocky headlands that were eroded by wave action. You can see them along the Oregon coast at Myers Creek, Bandon, and Gold Beach.
VIEW OREGON BASIN
The town of Merrill is tucked in the heart of potato country. You find great old barns, homestead, agricultural industries and small towns.
The U.S. Bureau of Reclamation's massive Klamath Irrigation Project, initiated in 1905, paved the way for extensive agricultural development which destroyed thousands of acres of wetland, interrupted fish runs, and attempted to phase out much of the native culture of the basin.
