This pair was just starting to complete their nest. The male Bald Eagle brought the female a talon full of nest materials. Several minutes after she allowed him to come into the nest and rub heads. Several minutes after the male jumped to the rim of the nest. The female bent down in the next signaling to the male that she was receptive to mate.
More than the act of taking the picture I enjoy observing nature and its behaviors. We were granted a peek into a beautiful moment between a female and male pair of bald eagles. She getting the nest ready while he hunts for better nesting material. In the nest we witness a moment of affection between them. The actual mating was filmed on video.
