GOBLIN VALLEY STATE PARK

Journey to this strange and colorful valley, which is unlike any other in Utah. From deposits laid 170 million years ago by a vast inland sea. The landscape, covered with sandstone goblins and formations, is often compared to Mars. Explore the geology, and camp among the nooks and gnomes.

The Valley of Goblins, spans nearly three square miles and is a free-roaming area that can be explored at your leisure.
It is a International Dark Sky Park great for astrophotography.

Approximately 216 miles southeast of Salt Lake City.The park is located 50 miles southwest of Green River off State Highway 24.

With Capitol Reef National Park within easy driving distance we stopped at Goblin Valley State Park. Plan yo return in the future and spend more time.
