Just over two million people visit Mount Rushmore each year. The day we were there the diversity of the crowd was on display. Several groups of Americans as well as people from other nations.
Upon our arrival we were pelted with heavy snow. As we climbed the steps towards the memorial the snow stopped. Under the flag of states the sun come out and the sky was crystal blue with a few clouds. It was like the Presidents were getting ready for their close up.
