Six new Great Horned Owl photos have been added to the updated Great Horned Owl Photo Gallery. Three are from Grey Lodge Wildlife areas 9,200-acre expanse of protected wetlands offering trails, bird-watching, fishing & hunting.
Three at Petroglyph Point section of the Lava Beds National Monument a former island we saw ancient carvings. In the walls high above flew Prairie Falcons. In the large monolith there were cracks where we found a female Great Horned Owl.There was a male at the far end of the wall. The two kept calling two each other starting at twilight.
