On Monday 9/18/23 we received an Aurora notice on our cell apps. We drove down to the Strait of Juan de Fuca near Jamestown area of Sequim Washington. It was a subtle light show of greens, yellow and purples.
We saw a mild glow, near the horizon. These can be close to the limit of visibility, but can be distinguished from moonlit clouds because stars can be seen undiminished through the glow.
Patches or surfaces that look like clouds. A few pillars of light.
The round planet on the bottom right is Jupiter. You can also see Andromeda midway in the center right. The Pleiades bottom center.
